i just hope they ban the hackers on online if not no way am i getting this.

This game is going to be extremely hard to hack, there's also going to be a "Report Player" option. You can report a player and have the report be sent to High Voltage.

yes :) thanks for telling me :)

And no, it's not going to be hard to hack because of the "Report Player" function, but because High Voltage worked with some of the hackers of the first game to help them patch anything up with the game's faults in security, and patching will continue after the game is released.

Source?

Me.

I was told personally by Bill Sullivan, lead producer.

For as great as these new screen shots look, I have to say that the build I played in person looked still even better.   And that was multiplayer, not singleplayer.  And the frame rate was never an issue.

Oh yeah, and you're the source too. There's a video on Youtube, somewhere, where a member of High Voltage said it too.

Currently enjoying: Monster Hunter Tri.

Anyone here played it?

It isn't looking good on those pics honestly.

I played it at PAX. The game looked pretty good for the Wii. The demo itself was buggy as hell and the frame rate fluctuated like mad. It was a pain to play, however the developer told me not to worry and that the demo's glitches had all been fixed. Sorta made me wonder why they stuck with the buggy demo rather then use a better fixed demo.

All in all I think I may buy this game. Theirs a 50/50 chance. I own the first one and this one looked alot prettier but as I said the gameplay in the demo I played was very bad so I'll have to wait to get hands on with the finished product!

"In God We Trust - In Games We Play " - Joel Reimer

I figured by now it was kinda known they were working with the hackers from the first game.    I know I was one of the first ones to announce it back at E3 but like the Youtube videos you've seen, I've seen it stated in other interviews and articles many times since.

Bill said a few times per week they'd get together with those guys to work on C2's online componenet to correct all the old flaws and find new ones.   Plus they'll be able to offer online patches so even if a new exploit is found it can be quickly fixed.

Joel, did they have the single player or multipler going on at PAX?   E3 was multiplayer only.

Hmmm, not bad. I see some more lighting effects compared to The Conduit. Also the textures look more detailed. Hopefully the framerate is a bit more solid this time around!

The game at some points can run at 70 frames per second. They've done some tweaking of the engine. Primarily, Conduit 2 runs at 30 frames per second, but when you're in an area that's sort of barren, or staring at a wall, the frame rate will jump to 70 frames. The transition is actually very smooth, and you won't really notice the change in framerate unless you're seriously paying attention.

Interesting. So it's basically like in God of War III and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow?

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

Essentially speaking.

Will the cursor tracking be better? Things like no tracking the IR when offscreen should be default without Motion Plus (like with Modern Warfare Reflex), and of course the cursor wobbling should be fixed.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

Yes, WM will enable smoother tracking including off screen but even without it the screen can be set to hold the camera when pointing off screen just like the first game could do.
