Halo 3 its at 49.99$ , MP8 will never come close to Halo 3 !

MP8 will continue to sell good, but I don't see Halo 3 dropping far, if at all, below 50k either. Even if it stopped selling completely, 50k per week is still "just" 2.5M per year, and it'd take two years to catch up.

Not going to happen, especially since there's probably a new Mario Party on the way.

no but it should pass Gears of War some day. That is wild enough, SMG, SSBB, and Mario Kart all have a shot of passing Halo, especially considering how big the base is going to be.

MP9 will kill MP8 sales though, come summer 2008.

If it happened, it would perfectly paint the direction in which the industry is going. It's time to face facts: we're moving away from classic games and onto party multiplayer madness. I personally like the move, just not when it's shit like Mario Party though.

Mario Party 9 is what will prevent that. I do think MP9 has a serious chance. Especially when the Wii doubles the userbase of the 360 sales comparisons will get ugly.

I believe you are right, which makes me believe that SSBB will be one of the best selling games in history with final totals near GTA San Andreas, everyone likes SSB games core and casual alike-

If it did it would be the end of the world as we know it. But very unlikely for all the reasons already mentioned above.

I doubt it will sell more than Halo 3, but still Mario Party 8 is selling amazingly well for a party game. But the fact that it will probably sell more than the Wii version of Twilight Princess and maybe even Gears of War is scary enough.
