Forums - Sales - Move to outsell kinect 2010?

What did you smoke? We already know that the 1 million number is the number in stores. Nothing more nothing less. Everything you posted amounts to nothing.

Must really suck to be you. All your hatred against a competing product resulting in denial responses. Look, what I wrote above is the situation in Europe at the moment. I don't care about America because I have no information from there. I also don't care that vgchartz makes patently false assumptions about Move sales. Are you really that afraid that your beloved Kinect won't crush Move?

so, these "facts" you posted, do you have evidence to support them?  Or are you just going by some kind of anecdotal evidence (what you have observed at your local stores?)

What Kinect games have multiplayer besides Kinect adventure? And by multi , I mean 2 people playing side by side.

Because so far, most of the games I'm reading about are "take turns" multiplayer. Like Dance Central.

A lot of games are actually one player. I'm kinda surprised ...

i seem to remember a video with those two nice asian chicks in a hurdling race side by side

not sure what the game was though

Probably Kinect Sports

Haha,yes you'd think i could work that out,silly me

Keep dreaming, I just LOVE how people conveniently ignore that the numbers released by SONY are shipments and not sold to consumers (and this is proven by the software numbers).

Kinect is going to steamroll Move.

what makes you think vgchartz has completely accurate software numbers...

I don't blindly believe VGChartz numbers. I do believe NPD (No Move games on the top 10) and the 10th position sold like what 80.000 thousand units IIRC? And no Move games in the top positions in the European charts. Those software numbers don't match with the numbers from Sony.

And the Americas article says  SOLD TO RETAIL (NOT TO CONSUMERS), look for yourself http://www.industrygamers.com/news/ps3s-move-has-sold-1-million-units-in-north-america/

So yeah, keep dreaming

Well apparently MOVE Starter Pack sold more than Halo Reach in September in Italy!

cosi che cosa!

Well with a bit of extrapolation we can get an idea of what that means. Sales of Reach in EMEAA outside of the UK are about 600k for September and Spain is around 10% of the European market so sales of the starter pack are probably higher than 60k in Spain, probably close to 100k with standalone controllers and console bundles included. :edit: Oh wait, nevermind. I just noticed he said Italy. Although the starter pack did indeed outsell Reach in Spain. So my statement above is still valid.

Proudest Platinums:
1. Gran Turismo 5
2. Persona 4 Arena
3. Wipeout HD
4. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2
5. Super Street Fighter 4

Well, for starters they're shipped, and it doesn't sound like it'll be getting another big shipement in NA if the sold numbers are anything to go by.

Took words right out of my mouth.

It's so funny to see all the doubters spew nonsense like "Oh, but this is shipped not sold."  No, really?  When does any company tell you how many they have sold to customers unless it's something special, like Christmas sales?  Never.  So I guess when MS publishes its shipped numbers for Kinect, you guys won't be using them on the forums.  I doubt that very much.

And while I like VGC, there is no way they can even claim to be accurate with their Move sales.  The main reason is this is the first time they have tried tracking a piece of hardware that is seperate from the console.  I know ioi is using what he called "historical controller data" to determine how many are buying Move that already have a PS Eye, but it's still impossible to calculate since Move probably breaks any trends that were from previous generations.  There's just way too many variables when estimating these things.  Plus, as many have already stated, you can't go by Move required SW sales to see the units sold, as everyone who has bought Heavy Rain, RE5, MAG previously are potential customers.  Not to mention the 3 or 4 PSN games that are able to use the Move, as well.

not exactly many buy the Move and use the demos and wait for better titles. I have the move and no titles but Mag for it.

Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong

look at all these 360 fanboys commenting... the bottom line is Sony will dominate

Course we will, and there is nothing wrong with reporting SHIPPED figures, just like they'll be SHIPPED for Kinect and not sold like Microsoft will state. Most Microsoft fans here seem to get this .

Honestly i think that after kinect launches all this pointless arguing will stop. The kinect effect will be so huge in everything (software sales , Xbox360 hardware sales e.t.c) that any comparison with move and any efforts trying to investigate sony's numbers (shipped, sold, what are these numbers starter bundles, standlone controllers e.t.c) will become pointless.

As far as this announcement go, is one million starter bundles standalome controllers in all America in over a month shipped to retailers that impressive ?? As far as software sales go we have NPD numbers for the 2 move biggest sellers (eyepet and SC) .

of course it isn't. If it is sold 10 million it still wouldn't be impressive.
