Forums - Sales - Move to outsell kinect 2010?

Well i guess there re not more than 25 millions 360 owners out there, since every user went throught more units, and when there re 12 million gold users(ms reports) number of 25 million is on spot.

Its obvious what move means, only dildo, no navy, no cams, just move. Whatever is stand alone or starter pack. Its shipped 2.5 mills, unique user about 800k-1 mill.

I dont understand why games have to be at 500k range to say move has sold something.

I have 2 moves and i didnt bought any specific game 4 it. Already have HR, but i bought it to try out demos and for future games. Out of 25,30 people on friend list with move only 4 or 5 bought SC. Some have mag, some hr, some wanted to try it out, some re waiting for kz3, some for socom( fanatics) etc.

And some people here are trying to pretend like sony is reporting shhiped and ms sold to consumer./s

a full single player move setup consists of 3 items - the camera, the move controller and the navigation controller. a two player setup would be 5 items. However until sony give a definition for what a "unit" is there is no point comparing sales figures. end of story.

If you want to be able to play all of the move games you will need a camera, 2 move controllers, and a navi controlller, 4 products.

I doubted that move will sell a lot but it’s out of stock already with online retailers in the UK. Maybe not a great launch but it looks that people keep buying it. I checked my orders with play.com this morning and they are awaiting stock (GT5 too!):

Wrong!

WTF are you talking about?  Some games you need two move controllers, some you need the navi, and all need to camera, 4 products.

No, you don't need the navi. You can use the dualshock controller instead.

sure, in theory the controller can be used instead of the navi, but it is never very comfortable to hold and us a controller in one hand. plus the navi is so cheap you may as well get it as well. Back to the first response, couldn't you use the second move controller instead of the navi? or does the navi do something the move controller can't?

Ok according to Vgchartz on 9th of Octomber Sports Champions had an attacrate of 80% , I think it is reasonable to consider that now the attach rate should be ~ 70% (don't forget Heavy Rain, EyePet, and all the other games)

Ok, so Sports Champions is now wordwide at 488565 that accounts to 70% of move (not controllers but a full setuP)

so 100% should be ~697950 or about ~700k, that is an appoximation, the highest I could give it is 1 million WW

I don't see how kinect can't top that, even if it has horrible reviews thanks to the ads and according to the preorders, it should easily do 500k first week, and it will certainly top move sales till the end f 2010

Based on Move's sales so far, I think Sony will sell about 1.5 million to consumbers by year end, worldwide.

Microsoft expects to sell 3 million Kinect to consumbers by year end.

I think it is obvious at this point that demand for Kinect is much higher than demand for Move. Kinect is going to easily sell the most of the two for both this holiday season and over their lifetimes.
