well M&S is actually a pretty good game,and in the UK casual games usually sell well

Yeah i know, the UK is mad for those types of games at the moment... Oh well, i got Uncharted on release and am happy with it :D

The UK is becoming odd with game trends recently, much like Japan... Stores seem to have loads of copies of the games that were meant to do well (assumed anyway) but run out of the casual games... I guess the market changes now and again :P

Uncharted was released on the 7th so this is one days sales! Or 2... depending on when this information was taken :P

you have to realize that the 360 fanbay is mostly racer fans and FPS/TPS fans. They typically hate anything with RPG elements in them. I asked my local EB game's manger how well Mass Effect is selling and how well he expects LO to sell. He just pointed to the wall behind him which had 3 shelves of Mass Effect games and said 2 shelves of those are still from the first shipment. He doesnt expect LO to sell much better then ME.


 Yeah, that totally explains why Oblivion sold something like 2 million and is still selling strong, right?

Yeah, none too shabby :D

Seen a lot of people buying the game when i was in town on sunday so hopefully this will be happening everywhere to boost the game up the charts quite a bit :D

Mario Party 8 was reduced to less then half price in GameStation this week in the UK, so that's probably a good explanation for that jump.

Still very solid sales all around, except I thought Phantom Hourglass would still be popping up in the top 40 with games like NSMB's and Cooking Mama.

Well, about Mass effect, sales doesn`t look for a gamet to be a system seller, neither killer`ap.

Gran Turismo 3 - 1,06 mln. in 3 weeks with around 4 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.

 

1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.
PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.

PS3 may reach 5 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 50k.
PS2 2001 vs PS3 2008 sales numbers =) + New games released in Japan by 2009 that passed 100k so far
