In response to people complaining about a lack of reviews and what not for Kinect I have dug up several links to hands on impressions for your reading pleasure. So it is not like MS is trying to hide their new toy. People are playing it.

Anyhow,  I purposely only listed links from articles posted this month as I feel they better reflect the devices capabilities as we near the launch date. Almost all are positive impressions and those that did not enjoy the experience still admit it will be a hit among casual players.

Bottom line. Kinect will be a success. It will change the gaming industry. It will make the Xbox360 a complete console for both casual and hardcore gamers. That is what MS is aiming for and it will become a reality next month. So haters, please accept the inevitable and stop trying to fight a losing battle.

didn't look through all of them, but the ones i did look at were alot more positive than i was expecting. I have a feeling kinects gonna surprise alot of hardcore games.

Well, I've already experienced it at Eurogamer Expo, and I personally wouldn't get it but I still think it'll be popular this Christmas. A few games need some work done though as I did notice minor lag on some games (like in the table tennis, but you get used to it), but others were pretty much dead on.

I think for the majority of core gamers like the ones on this site it'll be a case of wait for software more in line with your tastes.

Interesting impressions.  Mostly optimistic, which is a good sign.

I wonder if Kinect is gonna use any peripherals to make other generes more playable. Besides the boat, I mean. I'd love to play some Fable 3 one day with Kinect-- it's combat system is simple enough, though I wouldn't mind having a joytick or a sword.

I'd be interested to see the impressions of games like those more . . .
