@thranx i did try it out at Macys in downtown NYC near times square it was alright, i wasnt blown away but I dont think it sucked. Im sure as hell not going to buy a 360 just for it and if I had a 360 wouldnt pay for that. So im not sure why I would be scared. It gave me the Wii vibe, I played Wii for a little bit thought it was cool and then when I did get one when and played for a much longer length all the flaws in the actual wiimote showed (lagging, inaccurate readings, etc.) I might be wrong but thats what I see happening with Kinect it looks cool and at first feels cool but the actual tech might not be up to the standards of what we think it can and might do.

And just like that, rumour turns to bollocks.
But we all knew it was anyway :)

So where is their review? Nowhere, that's where. He didn't even say when they would review it.

Precisely.
I've said it once, twice, three times. I've argued it on various occassions. Regardless of where you stand in this console war bullcrap. Microsoft has hidden, protected, lied, exaggerated, forgot to mention, told half truths, etc details about Kinect from day one. If that doesn't concern you, you're blind as a bat.
Now they pump out a $500 million dollar ad campaign? Why spend such an enormous amount of money if your product is solid? It's easy to see. They are trying to force Kinect's popularity on the market despite it being a product that absolutely will not work AS advertised.
This whole product has a terrible stench of deception and failure...I can't even believe people out there aren't in total wait and see mode with this.
Another anti-Kinect thread that is now no longer true. When will people learn to just wait until Kinect is released instead of jumping to incorrect conclusions?
Tons of positive Kinect news and yet this thread has the most replies.
Change Vgchartz, change fast.

You mean anti-Kinect review thread. Of course we all know the reviews would eventually come out the question was when. I still don't see the reviews pouring in yet which makes sense if they are just now releasing the games. I surely hope they play a game for a few days before reviewing it.
well, if the kinect sucks, after it sold a shit in the first week the reviews may come, no matter how bad.

Exactly. The reviews probably won't be in until after Kinect launches. This is not how the review system should work. It gives companies too much influence over something they should have no business in, except providing review copies. I also find it strange the guy suggests going out and buying Kinect during an unboxing vid, without IGN even doing a review for it to see if it's any good.
@ thranx
You know, you may be turning me around. In fact, your right. There should be no reviews at all. They only harm the companies that make games by hurting the good vibe about the game. I mean who cares if the game turns out to be crap or broken, people should have to buy it first to find out. So you hear that VGC? Time to get rid of gamrReview. You're only hurting companies. We should only listen to celebrities that the gaming companies pay to say their product is good.
