There was a thread about how Mega Man is coming to the Wii, and we began talking about different Mega Man titles, and I just wanted to know, what was everyone's favorite?

Mine was Mega Man Legends, I don't know why, but I really liked that game.  I think it was the pseudo-RPG elements it had, I'm a sucker for any RPG.

Mine was Mega Man X, the first one. It pretty much perfected the many elements of the game. X2 gets an honorable mention for being quite difficult... at least that's what I remember.

Megaman X did so many things right it was awesome. Wall-climbing, dash-jumping, and more made it excellent. The part where Zero died to protect X was actually pretty moving when I first saw it too.

The game also took place before Capcom decided to give Zero a beam saber and begin whoring him out which automatically makes it better than the rest of the series (though X2/X3 were good too).

Yeah, MMX was sooo good, It did everything right. I kinda enjoyed MM Powered up on the PSP also.

Does everyone here think Mega Man 2 was better than Mega Man 3? I feel like I'm the only person on earth who thought 3 was a little better

It's a tough call between Megaman X and X2. X was completely groundbreaking as was mentioned above, and it nailed a lot of things. X2 was an improvement on the same formula, and was an even more fun game IMO, but obviously it couldn't have been as groundbreaking as the first. The first X was the first good Megaman game since Megaman 3 on the NES.
