I recently got a third party blu-ray remote controller for my PS3 and it has a USB attachment that needs to be plugged into the PS3 to use it.  However, leaving the USB attachment plugged in, when i turn on my PS3, the remote controller is always become controller 1 and if I turn on a DS3 controller the DS3 becomes controller 2.

MY problem is that most games need controller 1 to play so it sucks that whenever I'd like to play a game i'd have to take out the USB attachment and then turn on my DS3 controller for it to be controller 1 everytime.

Is there anyway to make that blu-ray remote controller anything other controller # but controller 1?

hold down the PS button on the dullshock and go controller settings

then change controller number to one

dullshock will be one and BD remote 2 

does the BD remote have ps button to do it as well??

You should have gotten the official Sony Blu-ray remote,  when it turns on it automatically sets itself to 7.  

But yeah just follow what mchaza said and that will do it.

The BR remote was free but thats cool that the official Sony BR remote automatically becomes 7.  Wish other third party remotes thought of that.
