Good news. I hope it's Alan Wake 2.
They need more devs, Alan Wake felt like a game that could of used a few helping hands.
Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.
i wonder why microsoft doesnt buy remedy remedy has potential their a great dev house
If I remember right they said in one Finnish interview that with one million sales they would already make small profit so maybe they have shipped that one million already. With holiday sales it should hit million in sold numbers also. Also as they already have the engine developing AW2 should be a lot faster.

IF MS had bothered to advertise this it'd have done so much better already :
nvm

Speak for yourself. Alan Wake was a AAA game for me and many others I'm sure. |
yeah speak for yourself alan wake is (and not was) AAA title for me and is probably the best story i've every played in a game, the concept of light vs darkness and the combat story the dlc everything for me is and its even priced well not over priced like the ac 2 ending which was cut to be sold as dlc that let me sell my ac 2 game and will never support it again until they go back to not ripping off customers

The studios MS purchased have successful IPs under their belt. For example, Rare, Lionhead, Ensemble, etc.
Remedy doesn't own anything big. They already sold off Max Payne. Alan Wake had modest sales. MS just can't buy every studio that shows some potential.
We see MS working with 3rd party studios all the time. They even closed down Ensemble just to work with those same people as a 3rd party. Maybe its just cheaper that way.

I'm not speaking by myself. I'm saying that by industry standards for what should be an AAA game. Alan Wake is not.
Speaking about my own opinion I'd say that Mario Kart Wii is a AAA game, but it is not. It's just a good addictive game.
