it mentions here that the max capacity of the SD card is 2 GB , do they mean here that it cant recognize more than 2 GB ? or the card that comes with it is only 2 GB?

No Nintendo announced in Nintendo Conference 2010 in Japan that all Nintendo 3DS Systems come with and Extra 2GB SD Card, but 3DS is compatible with SDHC Cards up to 32 GB from beginning.
