Back in the N64 days, I was a completionist. I couldn't buy me my own games and I tried to maximize the profit I could take out of those. Nowadays, I would, if I had time. But work and beautiful baby girl demand lots of time and I buy so many great games that it's not possible.

At this moment, I am playing:

Mass Effect 2 DLC (my personal GOTY, along with Galaxy 2 and RDR).

Dirt 2 (very addictive)

Assassin's Creed 2

FIFA 11

Machinarium

Splinter Cell Conviction (just tried it)

Borderlands (just tried it)

Bioshock (awesome game once you get the hang of it)

Red Dead Redempion (I'm loving it so much it hurts)

Very true my friend, as you get older you earn more money but have less free time. My perfect time was during college I bought 1 game every 2 months (6 games a year), and I finished them to 100%.

Hundreds. And that is just on the Wii. Seriously, I probably have at a couple of dozen Wii games that I have not even booted up yet. And many of them are new in shrink wrap.

Just remember though, I am a collector of sorts ... so I have a lot of games that I don't necessarily figure I will ever fully play.

Now if you excuse me, I need to find time to finally finish DQ VIII.

So, I guess I'm using the word "backlog" incorrectly when I also count my not-yet-bought-but-wanted games into it. And there are some pretty old ones, for GC, many titles for PS2, and also for Wii. Do you guys actualy buy every game you're interested in when it comes out, then play it when you have the time, or is it just that the word "backlog" does not fit to the games you don't actually own? This is nothing else than a linguistic question of course because I'm not a native speaker

Anyway, even between my owned games there are many which I played for some time and after a while stopped playing even though I intend to play them some more sometime. Damn, the number is double digit, and I'm pretty sure the first digit is not 1... maybe not even 2 or 3... this would be depressing if gaming was a serious business
