Forums - Sales - Apple Q4 results, new record revenues and profits

http://tech.fortune.cnn.com/2010/10/18/apple-sells-14-1-million-iphones-up-more-than-90-from-2009/#more-40524

It just never stops growing. All percentages (except iPad) are year-over-year.

Revenue: $20.34 Billion, 66.6% up

EPS: $4.64, 67.6% up

iPhone units: 14.1 million, 91.4% up

iPod units: 9.05 million, 11% down

Mac units: 3.89 million, 27.4% up

iPad units: 4.19 million, 28.4% up from last Q

The iPad is actually a little low. Most analysts were estimating 5 million. Apple has been aggressively expanding iPad distribution, opening it to Target, Amazon, AT&T and Verizon in just the past couple months. Wal-Mart will be next. I expect the iPad to do amazing things over the holiday season.

Next quarter will be even bigger. Apple's guidance is $23 billion, and they always lowball it.

"The worst part about these reviews is they are [subjective]--and their scores often depend on how drunk you got the media at a Street Fighter event."  — Mona Hamilton, Capcom Senior VP of Marketing
