Forums - Gaming - GameInformer Review Scores

I thought Kirby was in this issue.  Huh.

Vanquish score is a bit lower than I expected.  Guess I'll see for myself come Tuesday.

Bah.  I really want Scribblenauts and Layton too, but I only have so much money.  Since I rarely play my handhelds I'll just wait on those.

well i am a subscriber and cant wait until i get my mag in the few days in the mail (australian tho) so the reviews may be difference i think?

wii party

more like Wii fail

and force unleashed 2 is the biggest surprise

game informer are my most trusted reviewer they aren't bias (ign), and they are not cod fanboys or fanboys of any games as they out right complain about MW2 broken MP a heap of times now.

I agree Gameinformer is one of my fav reviewers too.

___________

I wanted Force Unleashed 2 to get higher.....though I'm not surprised by this score.

I hate it when a campaign is too short. I usually avoid those games.

If you have a limited budget, or must play a single game for a month I see your point. Otherwise its silly to think this way.

I know games which are more fun on a 3rd playthrough than 2/3 of GTA4's missions. Yet that game is like 30 hours long and awesome cause its so long right?

I never feel much satisfaction when a game is too short. Like Metroid Other M, I wish it were 5 hours longer... Finishing that game in 9 hours was a shocker for me since i didnt read a single review. I thought the length would've been as much as the prime games. I stopped playing gta after vice city because well, same ole sameole with the new ones (Been there, done that feeling ya know?). When a game is long forcefully without any justification, then obviously i wouldnt like that game very much. There has to be a justification for game length being too long. I just hope that in the future, single player campaigns become atleast 15 hours long... without side missions.

Civ V 9.75 HAHAHAHA

the words above were backed by NUCLEAR WEAPONS!

if I remember right Platinum Games called Game Informer out on the whole "4 hour campaign" thing and in the review they neglected to mention the challenges. However, after the hissy fit they tried to write off as the Other M review I stopped taking them seriously

a 9 could be fine, 9.75 is absurdly high, higher than their Civ IV score, for example.

Yeah...I figured they turned on Auto-aim or something stupid like that.

Keep in mind, these reviewers have to play and beat many games every month in order to review them in time. They probably plow through them as fast as possible as it becomes a chore. Mikami has never had any issues in making games acceptable length while maintaining the fun factor. RE4 which he made is 2X as long as RE5 and 2X more fun...

star wars needs higher.

Being in 3rd place never felt so good
