Forums - Gaming - Why do people dislike Medal Of Honor?

I played the original MW and part 2 still sucks the story makes no sense no matter how you wanna spin it. THe Army Ranger missions almost put me to sleep, they were like worse versions of the Marine missions from the original (i was in the USMC, so maybe im biased?) MW2 was like those bad sequel movies they repeat the same crap from the original over and over again. "wow, my character died again, shocking!!!"

AI is terrible

Game playes like a rail shooter. Enemy pop out, you shoot, enemy dead.

ITs even more GI-joe-ish than COD. Freedom Fries for the win!

Enviroments look boring.

And finally, its a complete COD rip off. If you are going to rip something off, make it better.

There is no doubt that this game wants to be a flavour of COD. Somethings I think it did better, though.

The story for one thing is miles better than MW2's.

Graphics in the daylight sections are really excellent at times. The night sections not as much.

The music is fantastic. But there seem to be some hiccups in sound and video. Even the final credits hiccupped once for me. Sometimes people would speak in the game and I coudln't hear a thing they were saying (even after trying to adjust audio settings).

Bugs... had to reload a checkpoint twice because ol' Dusty seemed to do just plain fuckall. Wouldn't go to the next part of the mission. Got stuck in the terrain when I got off the ATV the first time. Enemy corpses got stuck in walls often.

Overall it's a pretty good FPS in terms of action, graphics, story. But it's a bit rough around the edges, and like COD, criminally short.

The MP section is very average and I can't see myself playing it ever again.

At least it came with MOH: Frontline :)

i played both sp and mp and i can giv e you some reasons it was it recieved 7s and 8s. i played the 360 version btw

1. framerate issues, at least on 5 different areas in the game the frames dropped to almost a slideshow.

2. buggy ai, sometimes i could not proceed through a checkpoint because my ai buddy was stuck on a stair or just decided i wasnt worth helping. happened multiple times on my playthrough.

3.the entire game isnt a polished as most AAA releases, some explosions look terrible and actual gun fighting just feels like a game released to early.

4. enemy ai is retarded

5.the vehicle mssions help somewhat but the mission structure is very repeptitive, with you just entering an area getting amushed rinse repeat.

6. i beat the game in just shy of 5 hours.

with all that being said its not a bad game, but the 7 out of 10 reviews got it right imo. some levels were impressive graphically and the story actually made sense and some firefights had some real heft behind them butoverall it needed more time in the oven.

and as most people said the multiplayer really is a dumbed down battlefield.

Because most of these people are Bobby Kotick in disguise.

Well, I played the multiplayer beta and did not like it at all.

Since a game like MOH is mostly about MP, I decided to not get it.
