Forums - Gaming - Bloody Roar ?

Meh I went through lot of videos for the game but it doesn't look like anything special. A Tekken, VF like game with morphing. Granted a new game in HD should be pretty good. More fighting games the better

It's called Tekken and Street Fighter and Virtua Fighter and Mortal Kombat. It's all the same thing, no?

MK has some of the most iconic characters in gaming!!

Yeah it's my favorite franchise of the bunch. I'll surely buy MK3, my first fighting game this gen.

But it really is only because of the characters. They're awesome.

Woow....I still have this game at home.

i've played all the games in the series, i loved them , and is waiting for a new one hopefully, did the games not sell well?

I would sacrifice a goat to the gods to get a new Bloody Roar, it was soooo good back on the PS1.

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

Bloody Roar was very original when it came out, it was 3D, had the fastest combos around, morphing, cage fights, great characters (Gado, Long, Bakuryu). BR2 was even faster but then they got stuck didn't innovate and the feeling was lost in BR3 and BR4, same thing that happend with Tekken 4

I remember playing BR:PF on the GC, it was actually quite fun in multiplayer

Meh.. horrible button mashing game.. leave it to die... but if you really want go to the hudson soft forums:

Thanks for your support of this classic Hudson title. We too love the game and would like to bring it back to the US market. The problem is the development cost exceeds the market for non-major fighting games (ie competition against Tekken, Soul Caliber). The dev cost for such a game on next generation systems cannot realize a large enough profit to justify the risk...unfortunately.

My question to you is would you be interested in a digital downloadable (XLA, PSnetwork, WiiWare) version of the game? Perhaps internet enabled multi-player? I've been thinking about suggesting this but need to know the audience. Please let me know.

Bloody Roar 4 was a mess and got the IP a dirty image.

Bloody Roar Extreme for Xbox and Primal Fury for Gamecube were awesome.

@ nikkom

I'll suggest them a 3DS game. Costs are not higher than an HD game and there's currently not that much competition.

If they are quick on it, they can have a chance to refresh the franchise.

I miss this franchise, but they really weren't doing a good job with it. Bloody Roar 2 was the best overall with Bloody Roar 4 being the worst (stages, soundtrack), but having the best fighting system. My favorite characters were Bakuryu, Long, and Gado.
