I suspect 360 sales will be held back for a few weeks prior to Kinect launch.  If I am someone ready to get a 360 and have interest in Kinect I am waiting for the launch of have already preordered simply because the bundles with the console are a much better deal.

PS3 dropped in sheer units more than 360 did this week. If THIS trend (aka current rate) continues, how is the PS3 going to get ahead?


You are quoting adjustment that just happened, No the PS3 was not this close to the 360 all last week until today. The gap was much bigger between the two before the adjustment. Anyways, the PS3 will be ahead next week.

All of that is irrelevent, I'm talking about the new set of numbers from this week and last week.

Last week

PS3 - 171k
X360 - 176k

This week

PS3 - 158k - drops 13k
360 - 164k - drops 12k

What are you failing to get here? In terms of numbers and percentage drops, they're further apart. So at current rates, PS3 will NOT be ahead next week .. gees.

There is no GEES because the new set of numbers you are currently using are not from last week, they were just adjusted, I doubt most have even seen how close the PS3 were to 360 last week until today.

PS3 is doing better than even thought  it could it could be first next week. ha

I can only assume this has somethign to do with the R3 news or the GI cover, but the cover didn't start making the rounds until the 12th or so.

Or it could just be a fluke.  Who knows.  It's certianly strange, though.

I think PS3 sales are pretty good actually 0_o unless you meant bullshit in a good way. Anyway 360 had no price cut, and that NEW slim is now 4 months old ...
