Virtua Fighter 5 is a good example from a multiplatform perspective. Even released on a system with 2.5x the userbase and additional features, it will sell less than half what the PS3 version did.

It makes ya wonder how badly Duke Nukem forever will sell, compared to when it was first announced.

If Haze was released during the holidays it would have been lost in the shuffle. There's just too much competition for fps games on this holiday. By delaying Haze, the game will get some much needed polish and less competition. There is also the install base factor. Anyways look at Blacksite51, that game was rushed out for the holidays and suffered because it was up against the likes of Halo3, Orange Box, Bioshock, and CallofDuty4. Do you guys really think Haze would have done any better up against that kind of competition? From what i saw in some of the stages (any level besides the jungle), Ubisoft NEEDED to be push Haze back to prevent the game from being a failure.

Am i the only one who thinks brawl is like the halo 3 of wii, not in a sense that its the flagship title, thats galaxy, but that it will have a good launch (not as good as halo obviously, as people didn't buy the wii just for that) and then it'd die down at about the same rate?

UT 3 will struggle to sell up to it's potential on PS3. It's already been out on PC for awhile and it's getting a limited release too late in the holiday season, plus it's over shadowed by Call of Duty 4 and Assassin's Creed now. The 360 version next year will struggle to sell equal to the PS3 version no matter how much bigger it's install base is.

I agree with Haze and maybe PS Home?

Isn't Home supposed to be free?

Yea Home is a free download. Perhaps he meant it wont get used as much? Either way it doesnt make much sense.

I think smaller games suffer from delays more, perhaps Haze but as people have pointed out when its released it wont have the major competition from the other FPS' this season. Games like MGS4, GTA4, SSBB, delays only serve to increase the hype really.

I totally agree with Haze even though I have it payed off on pre-order. Home is free so who gives a fuck. Sony is wasting time and resources with their ultimate marketing dating sim when they should be making games.
