| Smeags said: By the way, the Wii version gives you the option to go into tilt mode for the special stages. Still, D-Pad is the way to go (WiiMote NES Style works great with the game), since the tilt function is waaaay too sensitive. I was flying everywhere using that method haha. |
They use the sixaxis on the PS3 version since it was the trial I couldn't see if it works or not.

I'm sortof with Seece, while i think the game is very good, i felt that there were things i really would've liked a bit better:
Sonic acclerates a bit too slow, imo, the music isnt as good as before, and sadly i think they shouldve kept his design like Sonic 3, where his legs are shorter, other than that a very good game.
oh and after that fan made vid the OP posted, i have to say that i've noticed that the scale is bigger in Sonic 4, so they cant seem to pack as much detail on the screen as the older games, which explains why the fan made video looks amazing imo. but tbh, but still, its very good.

I've yet to hear something match Chemical Plant Zone's music from Sonic 2. That was just pure awesomesauce.
Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!
Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

i preffered Flying Battery from S&K, but all of the old tunes were awesome, that reminds me Streets of Rage was another one with great tunes, perhaps Sega could do a reboot of that...

That one's pretty good, but I don't know, I just don't find it as nostalgic as Chemical Plant Zone.
Streets of Rage...it would really be nice if Sega can correct what Capcom failed in with Final Fight: Streetwise.

lol...final fight streetwise. Here is a funny story...
Streetwise was developed by Secret Level. Sega bought out secret Level in 2007. Secret Level made Ironman and Ironman2 games for sega. After that, Secret level got completely disolved as a studio, people got fired, and no longer exists.
So yeah, Sega did correct what capcom failed with Streetwise. :)
To add to music discussion...
Music definetly isn't comparable to Sonic 2, Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles stuff. Not even close.
However I do find that its kinda comparable to Sonic 1, which wasn't as good as the other 3. It could have been better but its not terrible by any means. I would love to see some classic tunes redone though.
And, as far as the best tune in old sonic games...this is it. Remix style... :)
I'm sorry to say that I can barely stand playing this game. The acceleration and the speed in general is just terrible to me. I stopped at the second act of the Casino level last night and then played Sonic 2 up until Chemical Plant Zone just so I wasn't comparing Sonic 4 to my own cloudy memory and it just doesn't compare.
I am the Playstation Avenger.
