Truffles, fillet, Madeira and foie gras already existed before Rossini, Madeira, foie gras and truffles were already combined together in other dishes, but it was only Rossini that combined them all with the fillet too and put them on a crouton in the "Tournedos à la Rossini"! 
BTW, I make decent tournedos... I ripped-off Sony, er, ehm, I meant Rossini!!! =:-O
