Ok, I dont wanna seem annoying about it, but I had alot of hopes in it. I am dissapointed and consent to a defeat. Whats yalls take on what this means in the overall picture? Is it the failure of the game, the company, the hardware, the hardcore gaming culture, or a failure in marketing? Or is it just a Xbox boycott?

It equals no brand appeal whatsoever by the Xbox brand in the Japanese territory. That's all that it means. If you have no brand appeal then how the hell are you supposed to sell anything whether hardware or software.

The failure of the Xbox in Japan is part of it. Also, a shift in the gaming culture is another component. I think the newer generation is taking up non-games and casual games alot more these days. New IPs are generally not doing well.

New IPs in Japan haven't done well in awhile. Only way to make them do well, is have them made by a huge name developer such as Nintendo, Square Enix, or Namco. Or have it overly marketed as the biggest game on the hardware.

Agreed completely. Japan is just changing, not for the better of hardcore games either. Casuals and handhelds are what they desire.
And its sad too........because besides Japan JRPGS dont really flourish unless they are FF so i hope we dont see a decrease in them (sob)
With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B

what I said is legi. The japanese take the X seriosuly as no or bad. Anything with an X on it means bad or no so the Xbox 360 is the bad-box 360 or the no-box 360.
