Forums - Sony - New LittleBigPlanet trailer...

This game appeals to everyone that i know with a PS3 and also i know quite a few people that are going to buy a PS3 when this game comes out as they just love the idea of being able to customise everything and make their own levels :D

I think the game will be amazing tbh...

If I had the money, I would buy a PS3 just for this game. Sadly, I don't.

If it makes people happy and sells PS3's then i'm all for LittleBigPlanet!, but i'm not convinced i'll buy it.

Stunning. Easily the best looking game ever made. It also looks like a lot of fun. Me want.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

The interest in this game is huge, take a look at GT, the original Gamers day trailer where LittleBigPlanet was announced has over 2 million views.

Also if you scroll through the comments I have never seen so many people post about how they wish it was coming to the 360 instead. PS3 owners are interested, but so are a lot of gamers with other consoles.

And damn if that isn't the most catchy game music I have ever heard. :)

While the game does look creative and interesting, I am willing to bet this game will do pretty poorly.

It appeals to the completely wrong audience for most PS3 owners and I think most people are quickly going to get bored of it.

I disagree, for every "rickytan" there is another person who is considering a PS3 just for this game (like me).

You're assuming that people that visit these forums are the majority-- they are by far not.

I know a lot of people that don't have PS3s that are very interested in this game.  Most people I know with PS3s are going to get it.

I understand this can be seen as a casual game and that the PS3 audience contains a lot of hardcore users, but this game has a lot of hype around it.  Zack and Wiki never had much hype.

LBP is a unique experience that can be made to be what you want.  I think it will do very well.

You said it better than I did.

Also, twestern, do you think you will not like the game?  I ask, because game sales, even if I disagree with your prediction, do not change how fun a game is.

Incase anyone is wondering where the music is from it's done by The GO! Team, from the Thunder, Lightning, Strike album. 'Get it together' is the name of the song (Track 5).
Indeed one of their better tunes. (Oh and it's not Sony records either!).

Last FM... If you would like to listen to the tune.

I haven't decided if I'll pick the game up. It looks interesting for sure, but the thing is, I do that kind of stuff all day and I'm not sure how much I want to go home and do more (though I suppose I might since I'm eventually going to make UT3 for grins and giggles). And about the GT video that has 2 million view, I don't agree that this is a very heavily hyped game, but I think when it gets released most people just aren't going to buy it. There are so many people still just asking WTF is this?, it looks like kiddy crap, this isn't a game, ect.

It sure does look pretty, but I'll only be convinced when we see some actual gameplay videos.

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."
