with all those quality titles it's sad.. :(

Ehh.... I wouldn't call their Wii lineup "quality titles". WInter has never been able to find a publisher for whatever reason (since early 2008 I think...), and that's it as far as possible quality of their Wii lineup. So anything he says about the Wii market at least I would attribute to hearsay/reading too many "Wii IZ Doomez" threads.

The DS lineup is something I can't comment on - do people like to play FPS on handhelds? Were these versions any good? I haven't checked the performace of the DS games, but I clearly recall Toy Story 3 at least is doing very well I believe, and 4 of the games in the DS list haven't even come out yet.

Wii has been doomed since even before it was announced, even when people were lining up for it, it was doomed

Yeah, the shovelware market moved to the AppStore.  And since that's pretty much what most 3rd parties were delivering on Wii/DS (bar Japanese devs on only DS) they're all pretty much fucked.

Since he`s only talking from a Wii/DS point of view he isn`t actually wrong. If Iwata said himself that software sales were bad for Wii  -and i`m pretty sure he lowered his forcast for both Wii and DS on the software front -  what more do you want?

Also, the kind of products  N-Space has brought to the 2 consoles aren`t exactly the type of games that are at the top of sales charts - specially the COD games, which SELL, but on the HD consoles. Their DS list is pratically shooters. Maybe i`m mistaken, but i don`t recall shooters making a hit in DS.
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed was their most successful game on Wii and DS, the only one that topped 1million units.
