Anyway, that's interesting. I'll have to get in on the GT craze as I've never really been one for enjoying lots of racers. I'll have to at least check it out.

250k LTD? That sounds more like a first week prediction for such a big title, especially since corporate estimates are usually pretty high.

Ok, I've been looking at the Japanese page. The critical sentence is this:

SCEの初回目標は、パッケージ版が25万本、ダウンロード版が5万ダウンロード。

初回目標 is read as shokai mokuhyou. I'm not familiar with the term myself, but you can click on the words to see what the dictionary says. Looks like first week to me.

There is no doubt that 250k is high - it this number is true, GT Pro will be best-selling Ps3 game in Japan.
Hovewer if they predict 250k first week, that means retailers shipmeant must be at least 250k. But retailers aren't biased about Ps3 and buy only what they think they can sell.

Well ,PES 2008 sold 145K first week ,EG 5 sold 150K ,Gundam Mussou 180K and Dynasty Warriors some 195K .

250K would make it the best release on the PS3 in Japan thus far .Still ,I think it will do somewhat worse .Maybe 200K units for first week .
