Nice. Hope they add more features like this so it's easier to stay far from Facebook. Really, every time I read something about Facebook it's about privacy issues. The other side is Facebook users telling how great and useful it is.

Well here's some news: I value my privacy more than so-called usefulness of Facebook. I had it pretty easy before Facebook, I still have, and I will have it easy in the future as well.

Anyway, just my two cents. You can use yours any way you like. Just don't try to take mine.

exactly my thought. I just prefer to stay away from social networks, I also value my privacy and couldnt care less about them. I dont miss being in one of them at all.

Actually, I once long ago had created a hi5 account. I used a little at first ,but then stopped visiting it (created it just because my friends had it), a few months later I opened it and it had been hacked. Someone had put all sorts of nasty comments and they were mocking me for being gay . Some real-life friends had even responded it was very embarrasing. I cancelled it and only tried to check it  once later on to see if the hacker had tried to reopen it or something (but it didnt exist anymore).

I will tell you one thing. I will NEVER make an account on a social network again

I agree. Facebook is so silly. The sad thing is that I read an article that actually said that having a Facebook account is seen as a plus by your employer,as it shows you're in touch with the latest technology. Don't know if it's true (or if it was some sort of promotion for Facebook), but I hope not.

But the fact that I dont have facebook or twitter doesnt mean I´m not in touch with technology or that I´m familiared with computers man. And I am very familiared with all that.

My sister barely knows how to use a computer yet she uses facebook everyday

Unless you plan on working in IT most employers will care more about how easily they can contact you than whether or not you know C

Being in touch with the latest technology means much more then having the newest graphics card on the market.

Its easier to contact someone on facebook than on a home phone, work phone, or cell phone, and even pager? I would think cell phone trumps all.

I don't really care about privacy settings, most of mine are set to the lowest possible level, I have nothing to hide. Employers can look at it, if they want, there's nothing more on there than they wouldn't find out anyway, after I've started working with them.

So if someone adds you to that paedophile group I suppose you won't mind that your employer sees that... I mean they'll eventually see you raping a little boy during your lunch break anyway, right?

Pretty much, yeah. If Facebook says I'm a paedophile, I'm a paedophile. Why would Facebook lie? It's just a website.

Well, your employer will probably be pleased.

I'm not entirely familiar with all English abbreviations... But if C stands for cell phone, you're wrong. And if not, cell phone > Facebook anyway. Most people have their cell phone with them everywhere. Facebook is only almost everywhere.

Also, I imagine almost every employer has a database or something similar where they keep some basic information about their employees, such as phone number.

Typically speaking, if you have a cell phone on you, you have Facebook on you.

If you have a cell phone on you, well you have one on you. no need for facebook.
