It will not have better graphics than Uncharted 2, because of X360 DVD disc. With Blu-Ray SONY will always be with better graphics.

BluRay has nothing to do with graphics. I hope you are quoting someone who has no idea what they are talking about and you don't believe this.

Not entirely true. With more storage space there is less need to compress textures and you can store larger textures on the disc. Of course, you need the hardware to read and render those large textures and compression algorithms are very good now so the difference is very minor.

Anyway, OT:

Saw Gears 3 at the Eurogamer Expo and it looked very cool. Waited for a while to play but got impatient as the queue was massive, but I watched a few people play and it did look impressive. Better than Uncharted 2? They were probably about level. Graphically I think Rage looked the most impressive (at the Expo).

IMO it doesn't look better than Uncharted 2, seems to look better than Uncharted 1 though, something that Gears 2 could not achieve. I would have to see it on my screen to be sure. The things that Gears will have that I'm mostly excited about is dedicated servers and of course Gears 3 will sell about 8 million and U2 will sell about 4 million, so looking better does not mean much really.

Since every thread turns into a graphics discussion let me throw a little wrinkle into the equation. Star Wars Force Unleashed II is looking pretty amazing. Best looking game ever!

Saying that it looks better than uncharted 2 may have been him complimenting how good Gears 3 looks! For Uncharted 2 is a fantastic looking game! Its other people that have turned it into a problem.

Gears 1 sold more than Gears 2. Why we would think that the Gears 3 will sell 8 million?? And why Uncharted 2 will sell 4 million and not 5 million? Uncharted 2 Game Of The Year Edition is comimg, if you dont know.
