I agree, I think the exclusivity helped them get that extra bit of notice from the PS3 fanbase. Valykria Chronicles and Lost Odyssey are along the same lines.

Yup! I firmly believe when it comes to making Niche games, exclusivity is the way to go. Why? because the state of gaming has it that any exclusive title will get a lot of attention from the fanbase no matter the console. Lost Odyssey and Valkyria did so well because they were exclusive and the fanbase had their eyes on them. Not to mention that being an incredible game also helps spread the word of mouth.

i love Demon's Souls, but i also love Atlus.

this is what I was thinking, loved demon souls, but it's kinda of bitter-sweet seeing a game they published be more successful than their own games...really like their SMT series
