in order that you asked.

1. yes.

2. downtown chicago, west loop/greektown to be as precious as i'm willing to say on the interwebz.  i pay 1825 for a "two" bedroom..."two" meaning 1 bedroom and my man cave.  suits my needs well enought but i wouldn't want to use it as an actual bedroom personally.

What, you pay $1800 per month??

no no no, i pay $1825 per month.  xD

For what, a little apartment??

mostly, for the location.  i'm downtown chicago.  i'm renting a condo and in my building condos run from about $350,000 - $3,000,0000 which is pretty standard for my neighborhood.

That's crazzy. So how can u afford putting that much on an apartment. U a millionare?

lol, not quite.  $1,825 comes to $21,900 in yearly rental fees.  between me and my fiancee we make around $140,000 to $155,000 (part of my wage is bonus so it changes).  that puts my rent around 15% of my income which is reasonable.

In my head I was thinking a millionare in Swedish money. And you are!

(one Dollar is 7.50 in Swedish money, so you make a million a year between you and your wife).

Damn Sweden third world country.

I'm screwed!!!!!

My couch is 28' away from the T.V.  so I gotta get up and get closer to the T.V. to play kinect games.

then I have a 145" t.V.  so where do I place kinect?  Can't be on top of the T.V. or at the bottom.  Crap!

now you are just lying. We all know that at 145" it is a projector not a TV.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

You guys are reading way too far into it.  That's the troubleshooting section.  Not every game for Kinect works the same.  Some, I'm sure, use the RGB camera for certain aspects.  It is the RGB camera that needs certain lighting/color requirements.  That's why PSEye has to have the glowing balls and optimal lighting to track anything other than the PS Move controllers.

If a game just uses the depth sensor then yes, you will be able to play in the dark, in any color, and be perfectly fine.

As to the "well ventilated" comment, it says that in every single console manual and pretty much all new consumer entertainment devices.  It's just saying that these devices need airflow to keep cool so don't close it in a cabinet or surround it with books or cover it in clothes.

Also, I find it very hard to believe people can't find 6-8' of space from their TV in most living rooms/entertainment centers.  I live in an apartment and my living room space from the TV to the front of my couch is 8' so I should be fine and people with houses should have much more space than me.

Nothing to worry about here.

6 foot from my tv is my bed, but then again I live in college.

And I could actually turn my tv around so it's not viewable from the bed, then 8 foot would be doable, 9 would be standing on my computer desk.

Anyway, all of it seems fairly expected tbh

Projector or TV, it doesn't matter, he can't put Kinect in the middle of the screen without some goofy effect taking place with his picture.

the play distance is a bit limiting.  i have 5'10" from my wall to the edge of my couch.  i can open up another foot-ish if i move my couch but i don't really want to be moving it back and forth all the time.

also curious about the install.  i wonder how big that is?

..but whatever, from what i've seen on the games front so far i wasn't planning on getting it anyways.

You really only have 5'10", wow thats just crammed in there. Yo were do you live, you want to come to my house. My spare room has more room then that.  I'm not rich either. I pay 995 a month to rent a 3 bedroom house. You didnt' care for the new games announced at TGS?  I want it for family and friends when they come over. I got a ton of hardcore games but nothing that we can have some beers and have some competive fun. I'm 28 so I see the potential it has. also if my families kids come over it can entertain them as well.

Don't mean to rip on your place either just never  had a living room that small even with the couch involved. I've paid 600 a month and had a bigger room then that. I also live near chicago. so might be more expensive up here. but thats cheap. I see your point though I wouldn't want to move stuff around to play the device. I'm not trying to be rude if it sounds that way. sorry if it does.

I didn't realize you lived in chicago, i live in the northern suberbs of chicago. Chicago is so expensive depending on where you live it can double that amount or more. I used to work for a moving company and go out there all the time. Some Amounts people are willing to pay for the  city area is just a joke. But I Guess if you have the money why not. I would only have a place there if I was very wealthy. even then it would be a weekend deal or what not. I can't stand all the people in the city. to much going on all the time.

Suberbs are nice because price comes down. I even got a garage with the 995 deal. you Might be better off getting a place in the suberbs and riding in the train to work. Thats just so expensive.

Man Chicago is expensive.  Even in the nicer parts of Dallas you can live like a king for $1800/month.  I think the most expensive apartment I've ever had was a $1050 a month but that was also for a 1,200 sq. foot 3 bedroom apartment with a garage.  That was even in a nice part of Plano in an awesome location.  My other apartments ranged from $400-600/month and usually two bedrooms.
