Forums - Microsoft - Alan Wake Graphics Are Ridiculous

Hey Seece, how's Metro?

Trailers and reviews sorta interested me on it, but never pushed it.

Current-gen game collection uploaded on the profile, full of win and good games; also most of my PC games. Lucasfilm Games/LucasArts 1982-2008 (Requiescat In Pace).

Alan Wake is a great game. From a far the graphics do look good, but when you get up close to stuff the textures are flat. I don't think its as good as Max Payne but Remedy still did a good job with Alan Wake lets just hope there next game doesn't take as long.

It's intensity is what kept it so good. Not many games like it this gen.

So true. All my favourite games look a lot better graphically too, playing them than what could seem watching a screenshot. Game quality, level design and engrossing atmosphere multiply the actual graphics quality. I never played AW, but if it has these qualities, I'm not surprised that it looks better than what the cold numbers about polygons, etc tell.
