I bought Fallout 3 one week ago, and its pretty amazing game. This is the first RPG i've ever tried and its pretty amazing one. I cant believe what have i been missing for 2 years already and how long was i avoidng the RPG games. I always thought they were slow, boring and ugly games. I realize i was wrong big time- However i have 1 problem with Fallout 3. I bought a pre owned german version (i still hated RPGs 1 week ago, so i didnt wanna give up much money), and as we all know, german version is a complete crap. It has very bad voice acting (you should hear how raptors speak in german) and more importantly, it has absolutely no blood and no gore. As far as i can tell this is a big deal about Fallout 3. I mean, whats the point of V.A.T.S mode if i cant see any heads exploading and legs and arms dismemberd. It fells very unsatisfaying when you cripple someones head, and all he does is look down. So i am thinking about buying english or american version on the internet, but there is one thing that buggles me. If i star up the english or american version, am i gonna be able to load my game from german version disc and continiue where i stopped on the german disc??? Please help me out fast, because i got really addicted to it, and i wanna continiue playing it FAST!!!!

I don't think so. From my experience in general with games like these on PC you generally cannot easily load other language versions with the same save file. If this is about consoles then I don't know.

If you could say specifically whether it is PS3, 360 or PC I will be able to better help.

P.S. you should be in for a treat, the next Fallout is coming within a month.

You can't do that unfortunately. I first bought LBP PAL edition but once I realized I would be having problems with the DLC I decided to buy the NA version. Playing in the same account, the NA version didn't recognize the old saved data and I had to start over (without much complain). However, you will still share trophies with your German version so whatever trophy you unlocked will still be there. May help you with the reach X level with Bad, Good Neutral Karma.

But man, buy the NA game, start over, take the chance to try different choices this time and revive the experience once again. :) The game is so worth it. I still feel like I want to play this game even though I pretty much did everything I could in it. Waiting for New Vegas.

So im fucked either way? If i start over im gonna lose everything, and i put like 6-9 hours in it, but if i keep playing, im gonna miss all tthe fun in shooting the enemies, which is big part of the game... Germany is the worst place in the universe to buy games, for consoles at least.

Yeah you're fucked either way, and If I were you I would start over. Blowing someone's head off using V.A.T.S. has never felt more satisfying xD

I don't think so. But how far did you get ?

But look at these 4 positive aspects:

1) You have a PS3. Means you can import games from other countries and play them because the system is region free. Instead you would have to buy a NA system in order to play or not being able to play at all, decently.

2) You have not being playing that many hours. In my opinion you will be able to reach your current progress in a matter of couple of days.

3) You are playing Fallout 3. This means that if you import F3 GOTY Edition you won't have to face problems with downloading the DLC because all DLC will be in that box.

4) You are playing Fallout 3. You will be replaying one of the best games of this generation. :)
