GOW3 is a tiny game compared to this, not even a comparison . This game is huge, there's nothing like it on the market ,IMO.  It's a true action/ADVENTURE game, IMO . (Oh and god of war is one of my favourite franchises ever )

Possibly my GOTG , i am seriously impressed .Oh and WTF have they achieved with lighting ....holy shit !!!

Wow , this game is epic !!! Lots of platforming and exploration (no backtracking unless you want to explore previous areas with new powers that unlock new goodies) . I have to congratulate Konami and Mercurysteam for making a game of this type so long and with such a big variety in levels. It really gives you a feeling of  a huge and epic journey that no other simila game has given you before .

I don't wanna be a bitch but.....

a little hard to top atm.

That sucked, and I'm saddened that a Castlevania game would take cues from it.  QTEs are one of the worst things to happen to gaming.

You do not have the right to never be offended.

The game is HUUUUUUUUUUUGE. I am on chapter VIII and i mus have spent around 20 hours . The second part of the game is full of castles, exploration, puzzles, traps and platforming and much closer to classic castlevania. Plus it's hardcore difficut .

Why are people angry that a 3d CV borrows elements from GOW ?? This IS how a 3d CV should control , even based on how the 2d games controlled (and trasforming that control method to 3d space) . GOW succesfully brought the classic action/platforming games to 3d so it's not a surprise that a 3d CV is similar but the similarities end on the control method and the titan bosses.

7.5

Kinda less than what I expected after reading the review.

Also, isn't the framedrops only exclusive to the Xbox 360 version? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember reading that somewhere.

Producer David Cox has clarified a few comments made within initial reviews regarding frame rate issues.

Responding to a query as to whether either the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 versions are superior to each other, Cox writes "The games are identical," before explaining "The 360 review code had some issues with frame rates but not major and they are not in the final."

God Of War also borrowed element from other games.

Agreed but what's the big deal anyway ?? If a game is great , it's great and this new castlevania is simply amazing (and so are the GOW games).

Legends11 already linked me to it, but thanks anyways.

Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!

Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

The game's definitely on my wanted list, as I'm very much in the mood for a game with a Gothic-Horror atmosphere.

As a Iga-vania junkie, I'm just expecting a game that has little do do with the DS/GBA/PS games, but is still a solid action/platformer (with the above-mentioned Gothic-Horror atmosphere).

Still, I have to admit that seeing this score makes me a bit smug, seeing that Carl and Darth have been praising this game for Kojima's name alone.*

*Yes, I know that they're joking (well, Carl's joking. Darth... well...). Still, Iga-vania for the win!

yes, the QTE parts always suck balls and I hate them, but at least they made it less annoying in 3 I suppose.
