So, the recharge-cradle thing's included with the system, then? Awesome.

Rol be honest, have you ever played with a PSP

I bet the answer is no, because they told you that a PSP would give you leprosy

I played the original model and the battery had to be recharged after a good four hours.

I only recharge in more than 6 hours....maybe because I play the games from XMB. But I mostly play PSP at home, s o battery is not important for me. Anyway 4-6 hours are very good for when you are out of your home. You just have to use the cable when playing at home.

oh i have to say is i will buy it. Dont care about the price, its better than the wii and the psp. should cost more than the wii and psp. regardless it being a handheld.

I hope it also includes a simple charging cable, because if you want to charge it and play at the same time you're fucked with that cradle..

Actually, it was a big disappointment to see the cradle as part of the default package for me.  Not only do I not want to have it in the cradle when I'm playing off of Ac, but I also don't want to pay for functionality I don't need and probably won't use.  I don't know how much it jacks up the price, but it sounds like an accessory that'd sell for $20-30 and it's raising the price that much it's a shame.

Wonder how powerful the Wii2 will be and if it'll be using AMD 5000 series graphics

If the 3ds is 250-300the Wii2 may be like 400 although I'm sure Nintendo will have good justification

Looking at Iwata's statement that's likely to happen. DS was 150 and Wii 250$, if 3DS is 250$ (or even 300), 400$ for home console would mantain the ratio between it and handheld. That's worrying: their next console will surely be powerful and have elements of great innovation, and likely more third party's support, but 400$ is too much, if Microsoft and Sony price their next consoles at 300$ or less it'll be too difficult to sell it.

CURRENTLY PLAYING: Xenoblade (Wii), Super mario 3D land (3DS), Guild Wars (PC)

I highly doubt that Sony and MS has anything less than $400 planned for their next console.

I doubt it too, but they could change their plans looking at what Nintendo is gonna release. The PS3 can carry on for other 2-3 years IMHO, the Xbox 360 should do fine thanks to Kinect and the Slim model, but it lacks appealing exclusives except for 1st/2nd party ones (Gears of War, Fabel...).

The Wii is the only console which I don't think will pass the first half of 2012 without a successor...

Anyway, Nintendo will see how 3DS performs with an higer price and think well on how pricing their next console. For the 3DS, IMHO, 250$ isn't too much, but 400$ for a home console is too much without something extremely compelling.

And I'm boggled. How the hell does the console charges if in the video people just put it over the cradle? Wireless battery recharge?

Honestly I think there's more packed in 3DS that people actually may use, but I think it is Nintendo intention to release a pricey system, because it will sell no matter what, so it would better have some cool stuff packed in.

I predict the price will fall for 199€ once PSP2 is out, alongside a 99€ pricetag for DSi...

I'm liking those Wii 2 hints... E3 2011 should be fun...
