To say people who commit suicide dont appreciate life or how things are going is just absolutely ignorant and pretty cold. Sorry, but if you don't have the social problems some of these people have, like dealing with different sexual orientations and discrimination or humiliation, then you have no right to judge how these people are "non-appreciative". You're not gay, you don't know what its like. Its unbelievably difficult and stressful, and I'm sure my life would be a lot less complicated if I weren't gay. Not everyone has a rosy life.


And this is sad news, and just the other day I heard about a 13 year old in Texas who took his own life after years of gay-bash/bullying because he was different.

For some reason this article really makes me mad. Throw the books at the students, teach them a lesson and send a message throughout the community.

I heard there was a second case either today or yesterday of another little boy who was exposed as gay and killed himself.  It was on Headline News all day.  There was also a story about several soldiers who commited suicide in a small window of time, on the same military base.  I don't know if I can agree with Maynard's "Don't appreciate Life" outlook.  Hell, if one were to dig through tons and tons and tons of posts, one may find that a certain d21lewis was once very depressed for years and tried to kill himself at the ripe old age of 19 (but wasn't very good at it).  Of course, I was a fucking idiot back then.  People in that mindstate need help.  Apparently, this young man developed a sort of tunnel vision where he didn't think there was any help for him.  He was too emotional and reacted too fast and made a mistake that can never be fixed.

For those wondering about the sentence, this really seems like a case of...

Do you punish people based on their actions... or based on their results?

Thank you for your testimony man. Maybe that will get some people thinking outside of their personal bubble. They need it too badly.

I'm sorry the thread is a said topic but I gotta laugh at this one.

Ontopic: I'd guess that the guy was kinda embarrassed of being gay and I also wonder the nature of the footage to lead him commit suicide.

This happens a lot with straight couples, and people usually don't run out committing suicide. They get shaked pretty hard, but committing suicide is a very serious act.

And the guy that got that on film must be severely punished for that: recording a private couple and spreading it to the internet. I wouldn't call him the total guilt of the suicide. Both guys had problems with each other for sure, this story ain't just like "he recorded the other having sex and then he killed himself". There's more behind this, but that will stay on court.

A kid at my old university in New York killed himself on the same day.  Have any of you heard of that one? Fordham university in New York, really sad too.  :(
