If this guy's sole reason for suicide was a sex tape, we are very lucky he is no longer with us.

to those judging this guy for killing himself,it's all a bit arrogant and narrowminded,no one has the right to judge anyone to be honest for anything,a few wrong turns in life and you can find yourself anywhere so don't be so hasty to judge people

People really need to wake up and realize some things. You honeslty DO NOT KNOW what it is like to be a second/third class citizen in this country unless you ARE ONE. Being gay in this country is nothing to fuck around with when it comes to invading someone's privacy and forcing that information to be made public.

The video was not only recorded, but placed on the internet. How does nobody realize the serious-ness of this? Do you know what sites like facebook, youtube, aol, myspace, yahoo, and other social networks are for anymore? They're gateways into people's lives from ad companies/marketing firms, potential employers, schools, family, and anyone searching anything about anyone. They aren't just ways to see who is going to that concert or how your crops on some stupid game are, they're information sites so many places take complete advantage of now.

How do we know this guy was openly gay to everyone? I am gay, but I am not open to many people who I feel it could potentially be harmful to. It's 100% legal to be FIRED from any position of work in most states SOLEY based on orientation. It's also legal to not be accepted for a position in a job for the same reason.

Search any name username and you come up with personal infomation such as phone numbers and addresses, photos people have taken, items purchased on multiple sites, links to other usernames people have used in the past or are currently using, posts on any website, videos,  and with a little cash or inside access you have just about everything about somebody.

you can search a name, find varients on that name, all sites posted with that name, link it to a REAL name, other  usernames linked to that name,  then that leads to address and phone number, past activity, etc. In other words, please do NOT take anything for granted that is posted on the internet. This is an extreme case of course, but really for all anyone knows, his life COULD have been over the minute that video went public. People are descriminated as mentioned above, and worse are beaten up, killed, and raped every day for who they are.

-coming from someone who was beaten up a few times, personally knows several people who have been, and knew someone who was murdered by his own blood for who he was. I am not in some "personal bubble",  Step out of your sugar coated one, because I am in the real world.

Yes, this person is a spineless douche. I'd hate to knock you off your soap box there, but I am also gay and have been discriminated because of it. Perhaps instead of killing ourselves, we should be actively working to improve our lot.. and work toward ending laws that are discriminatory. That seems like a much better solution and will make us all stronger people for it. Suicide is an act of extreme self hatred and those who commit it deserve neither admiration or pity.

The people who recorded him having sex and posting it on twitter or wherever should be prosecuted to the maximum extent for invading this person's privacy.. nowhere in my post did I defend them and I'd like to see them go to jail.. but that doesn't excuse this gay "uncle tom" for killing himself. No sympathy.

Oh, by the way, it IS illegal to discriminate based on sexual orientation in New Jersey.
