Damn, world view comes crashing down. 

Considering how weak the games line-up's been, the PS3's done pretty well this year imo. If they stay with microsoft over the holidays, they'll be in a reasonable position to come back. They've built up a userbase almost soley on the back of brand loyalty... imagine how strong they'll be with a few high quality exclusives.

The only trouble is, brand loyalty is being sucked away as word spreads about the current superiority of the 360's line up. It seems more and more casuals are getting the impression sony have messed up with the PS3.

Sony's on a race to produce some quality games before they lose their brand's advantage.

You understand that 1)Sony can't physically do that. and 2)That even lowering it that low will not help it much. The price is now favorable and it doesn't sell to well. In fact a lot of this sales increase is due to Christmas. And with that, every system is doing better. The DS sells a million units a week.

Also, doesn't it seem odd that Sony has yet to get their big hitters, or for many, even get a solid date. There will be a drought of games for the system, and with the big hitters so far off (when Nintendo and Microsoft hve their, or are coming) it will slump in sales.

 PS3 sales can best be described like this. Graph the line: Log(x) and thaty is ther PS3's life time sales.

I would go as far as to saying the PS3 will and does sell better than the 360 in its first year.

Especially if I have to qoute on the various comments made by some 360 supporters like "the PS3 has NO GAMES" and such.

Hmm, by the end of the year I think it will do alot better than the 360 did its first year. Its almost sold 7 million total. While the 360 didnt get into that install base (if I remember correctly) untill the early beginning of this year.

Halo 3 sales are pretty lame in only week 10 concidering Motorstorm outsold it by about 20,000 in it's 55th week! lol Halo 3 = Great start, no legs

Microsoft needs some new material like gears of war was concidering since halo 1, sales of halo 2 and 3 have declined, although mind you it's not done selling yet (halo 3).

360 should make a game with naked chicks, that would sell a couple million.

PS3's first year was over nearly a month ago--November 16.  It had sold in the mid-6's by that time.  And the 360 reached was at about 10 mill by the beginning of this year IIRC.
