Actually, the Xbox 360 was doing a bit better. Also, the Playstation 3 has Japan. Xbox 360 does not.

You're focusing on GTA specifically and missing the point of my post.

Big name multiplat ps3/360 games will sell loads of ps3s in Japan, but few 360s.


You brought the GTA4 issue up. I was just replying to it so you'll have some facts to compare with.

 Most multiplatform games are usually made with the Western audience in mind: Cod4, GTA4, Assassin's Creed, etc. We all know for a fact that these don't sell well in the Japanese market. Considering these don't sell well in Japan and are selling good in the West, these won't move much consoles in Japan.

Yes thats true sony has the advantage that they own Japan (over 360, not wii), but come on..what kind of an arguement is that thought? like i could say that the X Box 360 has U.S.A. and the PS3 does not and thats the only reason they lead.

All i'm saying is thats not a valid arguement in my opinion.

I think this topic alone proves why the PS3 is selling badly. What did it just prove? Uhh, the 360 this year beat the 360's first year but the PS3 didnt, so what does that make the PS3?

 If you look at the sales for Europe ofall 3 consoles against each other from their launch in Europe, the PS3 has sold more in less time then the 360. It took the PS3 36 or so weeks to reach 2,000,000 while it took the 360 54 weeks. In comparison, it only took the Wii 27 weeks.

 At the time PS3 was at 2,000,000 (36 weeks) the Wii had 2.6 million, not far behind really.
