It beats the constant brown we had at the beginning of the Gen...
Dull.
If I had the money/time for additional consoles and they actually came in interesting colours each of mine would be different (preferably co-ordinating)
I think of the colours that have been available for the 3 consoles my combo would be white Wii, one of those off silver PS3s (MGS4 model?) and the same 360 as you have (all the old 360s are ugly)

Maybe spray the Wii's base for that all black look , if you do the Kiwi's will love you more than kevin butler.
Research shows Video games help make you smarter, so why am I an idiot

The Nintendo official black Wii sticks with the silver base, and I like the contrast of the silver with the black.

Too busy playing your DS and PC to get them in the picture eh?
You took "You can have any color you like, as long as it's black" too seriously...

If I did a full picture it would also have the PSP, but the PC is hard to move and not particularly stylish anyway and the PSP and DS have been in previous topics.

Yeah, see that would be fine if the problem was something simple. For me, it was my motherboard, or the power supply. Either way it was expensive. It stopped spinning discs properly, and still wouldn't even after I replaced the entire Blu-ray Drive and Drive Board. I'm relatively tech savvy, and that really only leaves one option. It would have been a very expensive repair, and it was an old 20GB PS3 with no wifi anyway, so I figured I'd go ahead and upgrade. I can no longer play my PS2 games, but with Persona on PSP and soon 3DS, MGS3 coming to 3DS, and the Ico Collection, all the PS2 games I ever feel like replaying no longer require a PS2 to play, so no loss there. |
Given the turnaround time, I'm pretty sure they just did the precursory checks at the repair work bench (confirm serial number label is intact, turn it on to check for error code, and then open the case to see that it wasn't modified) to confirm that the problem was as reported: YLoD.
With the 60GB SKU, the service rep assured me I'd receive a CECHA01 replacement model and I did.
Both consoles had the same issue, which meant motherboard replacement, making it easier and faster to just send a refurbished replacement unit. There was no itemized repair bill, meaning there could have been a dozen things wrong with either console.
It was flat $120 for the repair/replacement and something like $40 for shipping and handling.
