I've got a feeling the DSi was 20,000 yen though when it launched.
I'm not sure though

DS lite launched at 16,800 yen
DSi launched at 18,900 yen
DSi XL launched at 20,000 yen
Western price will be probably 249$ because I just can't see higher price than Wii had at launch. For comparison PSP launched with price of 19,800 yen in Japan and in the west it costed 249$ so i can't really see how 3DS would cost under 249$.

You, uh, do realize Wii is more powerful than the Xbox was, right?

But I read in some forum that XBOX1 was more powerful. People don't lie on the internet.
$250 USD --> >$400 NZD. Not gonna be a day one buy for my kids. Nor even a year one. I don't think they'll buy until it gets below $300 here.

Damn those exchange rates. If it was mid 2007 this would work out at around £100. Now it's £200ish. Still, not ridiculously expensive.

Hmm i was hoping they will actually reduce their astronomical profit margins this time till technology gets cheaper but seems i was wrong.
Anyway if 3DS is above 200 euro i'm not getting it.

Even 250 is too much for me. (console only)
I hope it is 200, otherwise nothankyoukthxbai.

Well with the Australian Dollar edging towards $1US in value Id say probably right judging by how Nintendo has treated the Australian market.
I think importing it from the US might actually work out to be cheaper.
