COD4 and resistance

That was another question I wanted to ask: how is the multiplayer in these two games.

Just assume I care 0 percent about the single player experiences, and would be playing these games near-exclusively online. Under those requirements, which is better?

I dont have COD4 yet, so I cant comment on that. But let me just say Im addicted to R:FoM online. I love getting those medals after accomplishing certain tasks. My current status is 3500+ matches played.

I heard great things about COD4's MP though, and when I get my hands on it I will probably be playing that aswell... but first I have to get my 5000 matches played medal on R:FoM :P.

This thread took a dramatic turn for the better! So I'm back.

About Call of Duty 4: does it support Mouse/Keyboard on PS3?

As for Okami, I'm definitely waiting for a Wii Port of that.

Hot Shots Golf and Super Rub a Dub I will look in to.

I'll take a look at VF5 on the 360, then.

And lastly, I just picked up Viewtiful Joe 1 for 10 dollars used, at Naz's suggestion. Trying it out now! My first PS3 game, sorta :p

 Hehe, ok.

Any other PS2 games to recommend? Think quirky, like Katamary, or Shadow of the Colossus. Any Sim games to play? As in, Sim City, or Sim Tower, or The Sims, or nation building games? For any system.

Also, I'm so getting Castlevania: Symphony of the Night again. I miss that game so much!

Bod you may want to consider getting Viewtiful Joe 1 and 2 for the PS2. They are great games. Again, Okami is also a lot of fun with quirky humor beautiful art, and great puzzle solving gameplay.

As good as Okami is, I think the first 15 minutes of the game will be enough for Bod to drop the game without even having played it for a minute (because the intro is that long).

Yes, the intro is long, but once you get passed it there is never anything like that in the game again. I think 15 minutes of intro is worth it for the great game that follows. I'm sure Bod isn't so judgemental as to not give a game a chance after 15 minutes.

Oh really? I remember another very long blablabla sequence around the middle of the game. When you could assume that you have beaten the game.

Yeah, I suppose I forgot about that, but those sequences are not comon to the game. The game is not cinematic and full of cutscenes. Just a couple long ones. They really aren't enough to offset the value of the rest of the game though.

Oh, and if you do play backwards compatible games, you may want to consider picking up Animal Crossing, Pikmin 2, Viewtiful Joe 1 and 2 (Gamecube version runs better, PS2 version has frame rate drops), and Donkey Konga (with bongos) for Gamecube. Also if you like extremely competitive and/or challenging games Battalion Wars 2 and Mario Strikers Charged are both very competitive online. Back for PS3, Hot Shots Golf sounds like it could be right up your alley.

I'd wait and play Okami on the Wii, and I have the PS2 version...

Viewtiful Joe was such a great game...I should finish the 2nd one...too many games to finish...
