Added an in depth analysis to the OP !
wow, perhaps we should through R3 into the graphical debates.(once we get more footage...but some pics look good)
I don't know why, but R3 have Zero Hype for me...
maybe because i didn't played the other 2...
R1 and R2 were both 60FPS games. Recently Insomniac stated that they would be dropping framerate on future games to 30FPS. With 50% less frames to render and considering how good R2 looked I wouldn't be surprised if these were in game and there's a huge graphical boost.

Really? i thought they were both 30fps. I do remember reading about an interview not too long ago where Insomniac Games stated Ratchet & Clank Future A Crack In Time was 60fps and it will be their first and only in 60fps due to quality and graphic sacrifice. I could be wrong...

Actually Resistance 2 is 30 FPS. I remember reading that.
Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!
Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

Yep you're right. Insomniac sorta saw A Crack in Time and Tools of Destruction as experiments whether they kept on making 60 fps games or not and they decided to opt for 30 fps for future tiles because of the reasons you stated.
