Forums - Gaming - Kotick: "Kinect price has to come down"

kinect will sell well, it will sell around 5-10 million max and thats pushing it

xbox has 45 million shipped units but alot of people have bought more than one console (RROD) so lets  say there is 30 million 360 users. There is No way the Kinect can sell 20 million units as thats really pushing it, thats around 2/3 of the user base, not everyone has a wii fit board for the Wii and everyone doesn't have a guitar hero controller for the PS3/360/Wii as well. So the market is small so its hard for Activison and Ubisoft and EA to bring out High quality games if the market is too small. If the kinect was 50-100 dollars with a few good games then you might get a larger sales.

Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong

This guy is greed itself. All he cares about is large revenues, which is understandable when it comes to being at a high position in a company, but still he is the epitome of what is wrong with capitalism. Make money at all costs even if it means leaching off someone elses product at their expense, even though he wants to sell complementary products for it. He probably will want games for kinect to go beyond $60 since he can't sell the peripherals he says he want to sell.... unless Activision can sell skateboards and gun props for kinect at $50 apiece. He would want 3D to succeed and not motion-based just so he can continue to sell peripherals at stupedous prices. Man gaming has come a long way....

He can't really talk when you look at Hero controllers, whilst 150 is a lot, it can be used for more than one type of game whereas the Dj Hero board/Guitar Hero Guitars are kinda limited...

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.
