I don't know, fighting Cronus in God of War III was pretty incredible. Indeed, in set pieces like that, God of War III excelled. But it just doesn't feel as ingeniously designed as God of War II. It's all down to personal preference.


I agree that that fight was awesome but considering how big the Titans were in the first game I think the scale is just off. I mean it took days to climb up to where Pandoras box was kept and then game hours to get to the box. Yet it took minutes to climb and destroy a Titan seems off to me.

kratos was stronger though in god of war III, remember in GOW I he was a normal human with help from the gods, but in GOD OF WAR III he was as poweful as the gods.

i like this game very much too

it is a game that really make use of the power of PS3 cell processor

too bad most 3rd-party developers were lazy at

that's why we don't get to see much of such great technical game

( thanks to Xbox360 bigger market for holding as lead platform on most 3rd-party games title to perform )

 humm, well... i wouldnt call it lazyness, for sure not. the point is, God of War was a Hell of a Development, it took much time, and Money. And many single pieces were TONS of Work.. the Santa Monica Studios gained much Support from Sony (since it is 'their' Studio :P) and they knew that God of War III wouldnt flop.

i think if GoW1 and 2 didnt sell their 2 Millions, but 1million, we would never have seen the God of War 3 we have here today.

(The Battle you h ave posted gives a great Example., Gaia. i dont know 'that much' of Development, but the Basics. And even i can tell you, that it sure has taken Months, to Create the Titans, because creating a Dungeon INSIDE a Creature, is DAMN sick stuff. IF The Dungeon was Really placed inside, it was a sick ammount of Work. IF NOT, it was much work to Create the 'Gaia -> Mount Olympus' Transition, as smooth as it was in the Game.)
