It's been confirmed by Marvell that their upcoming tri-core processor is going to be used for an upcoming gaming platform. It's extremely likely that this will be some form of handheld device given Marvell's commitment to mobile processing technologies and the low power requirements of the chip. Rumours suggest that this chip will power the 3DS but it could very well also be for the PSP2 or some unknown competitor entering the market. See the links below for more info.

Anyways, yesterday Marvell announced the new tri core ARMADA 628 chip and has suggested that it is within "spitting distance" of the PS3's RSX in terms of processing capabilities. See the link below for more tech info if interested.

Whatever this is going to be used for.. It's going to be quite game-changing in the mobile entertainment space.
