Oh, so you were quoting someone when they said it didn't work right at all? I thought you were paraphrasing. Source?
I quoted IGN 3 times because it was 3 separate parts I wanted to highlight. Did you even watch the video? I doubt it because it wouldn't gel with your already established view of the game not working.
I also love that fact that anyone who hates it is being honest and anyone who loved is being paid by MS. Priceless.

Yes I watched the video, you know what I heard, oh this tech is so cool, I'm using my hands for a video game omg, input lag, the game is pretty fun, and MS is spending hundreds of millions of advertisement, you really think they wouldn't pay off a reviewer? Or throw some of that to advertise on their site to make them more incline to give them a better review? And again no specifics on why kinect is good, only input lag, once people get past the gimmick of the tech seeming new and unique they'll get bored of kinect in a second

So where is the article saying ti doesn't work at all? The one you quoted?
Here are a couple more for you while you're looking for the link:
Gamepro - "I was able to go hands-on (hands-off?) with the game via Microsoft's Kinect peripheral, and was pleasantly surprised with how well the experience flowed without a controller.....Child of Eden is one of the most innovative implementations of a motion controller to date, and I'm incredibly anxious to spend some time with the finished product."
Joystiq - "I can't come up with a very practical argument for picking Kinect over an Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 controller (and Move is still "being decided" upon, but seems unlikely). There's a notable loss of celerity and precision when you play with Kinect, making it the less preferred input method if you're bothered by scores and hit percentages. Heck, even Mizuguchi jokes that you have to go the gym first if you're going to play the game with Kinect. Your arm's going to get tired and fall off, probably.
And yet, I preferred playing another level, "Matrix," on Kinect."
Damn, MS is paying off everyone is seems.
