Forums - Sony - Heavy Rain with the Move – am sold

While I didn't play it with move, i finally gave it a shot without move yesterday... and sadly I do not get the appeal of this game.

I have to get dressed and brush teeth in real life, why would i want to do this in videogames? Anywho, ill return it today and get infamous (1 month all you can rent pass from blockbuster).

The appeal to me was the interaction with their world, and knowing that every decsion you make could make the story turn out differently. But if you're not into it you should return it and get something more in-tune with your tastes.

Well I've only played the demo so far, and I am cautiously optimistic. I found some of the gestures slightly confusing, but with time, I am sure that I will understand it better and it will become second nature. But in the 1st part of the demo, I did really enjoy throwing the punches physically, and it will be a better way to enjoy my second playthrough

Then it wasn't just me.

Maybe I was "thinking" too hard, but when I was trying to match the on screen gestures, I was getting a lot of them wrong in direct contrast to the old DS3 based controls, which were pinpoint.

I'll try it again with the full game, but the demo took me from excited to replay HR with better controls to playing through HR again with controls I'd have to relearn just for the sake of using my shiny new (or is that glowing) controller.

should i play heavy rain with move first time or with dualshock?

That's a tough call.

If you already have your Move remote and you really want to get your mileage out of it early, try the Move controls.

If you don't have one, then the DS3 controls work and work well. If you want to go back and play it again with Move controls at a later date (relearn the controls), maybe it will feel like a new experience.
