Typically I just mod edit their posts and leave a public warning for everyone (that is promptly ignored )

if we limited quotes to 3, we'd limit tables to 3 too which wouldn't be good. It isn't that hard to hit the delete row button a few times. Also, you don't need to quote someone just to reply to them.

ok I went and cut down on their posts. Anyways, I would never enforce an immediate ban just for poor posting etiquette, however I have no problem sending people official warnings as at least then it is recorded that someone contacted them. No warnings were sent other than me posting in the thread, which doesn't count as an official warning anyways.




If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

I'm happy with that. I know I'll make more of an effort to cut down the quotes, especially since i only have small screen on my netbook.

Fair enough on the tables, cutting them down too wouldn't work.

I just wouldn't want to scare new members who (perhaps) haven't read the forum policy by officially warning them, or banning.

You can politely ask people to edit their posts for easier reading. Or you just ignore posts that are too hard for you.

It also makes scrolling a pain in the ass.

Don't you use your mouse-wheel and the PageDown key?

Atleast make it so that when you hit quote, only 3 posts are quoted...but this is never going to happen because VGC seem to be very slow at implementing features we had lost from the site re-design, let alone implement new ones...

And here I was thinking you were referring to quote trains. That I can understand you complaining about.

 

What I saw when I scrolled through that thread wasn't the slightest bit annoying. You must have a hard life complaining about nothing all the time. :-/
