rejoice!

next week should see another bump with EMEAA.

I think word of mouth will make kinect sell more and more. gaming site reviews are junk and the general public don't seem to think the same when they see or play kinect. MY brother for instance is not a gamer but is going to get a kinect bundle after trying mine.

Hope?

kowenicki, no offense but I was originally under the impression this was an analytical thread, not a cheerleading one.  The 360 is selling well and will continue to sell well whether it hits 50 mil this year or not.

As for how its tracking, I sure wasn't sure if it would but I knew it could.  The Reach bump was more than I thought and the initial Kinect bump has been very impressive considering the 2-3 day week as well as the single (though biggest) region release.  Word of mouth has also been good, so the normal holiday bump supplemented by a big release (CoD:BO) likely means this week too will have a nice bump in NA.  The EMEAA bump, though, will be the one to watch.  If it is comparable, this week could have a SIGNIFICANT increase.

So, long story short, the evidence leans toward a YES response to the thread question.  Regardless, its fun to watch.

Should really blow past the amount needed this upcoming week. Last year the corresponding week shold 437K with COD:MW2 releasing and that was a jump from 285K.  This year will be starting at 333K with COD:Bops,  Kinect EMEAA launch and continued hot Kinect sales in NA.

Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

This prediction is getting quite interesting. Will it be able to remain positive? We'll just have to wait and see. Although looking forward Black Friday, the week before Christmas, and the week of Christmas are going to be rather tough comparisons.

Proudest Platinums:
1. Gran Turismo 5
2. Persona 4 Arena
3. Wipeout HD
4. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2
5. Super Street Fighter 4

So far so good

No offense taken.

It is an analytical thread...  I have always been interested in this type of analysis, as I am sure you know from past news items and threads.  Howewver this isnt a a news item and therefore I dont mind saying I hope it makes it.  I WANT the 360 to make it and I sincerely hope it does.  Whats wrong with that?

Give me a F, no, seriously whats wrong with being happy with the numbers? If you ask me, 360 gets a lot of heat on this site and others.

Nothing wrong with this thread and it's comments.  We need atleast one thread to cheer about. People have kept it nice in here. I enjoy coming straight to this thread once numbers are posted.

so it is far away from doing 50m right ? lol

No, it's on target, it's in the OP written out for you.

*mind boggles*

Glad to see it's still on target, should be some good few weeks coming up.

If that's what you want to present, then nothing.  I just think threads like this can be be much more effective if they impartiality is maintained by the TC.  This site has enough cheerleaders, particularly some fanatical ones, that I personally feel the goal would be more dignified if simply reported instead of celebrated.

But that just goes for you as the TC.  The rest of us can cheer it on.  ; )

Oh, and PLEASE just ignore Yuyyder.  Post history demands it.
