If u like Nintendo's franchises than get a Wii.

The PS3 is the better system for you. More games that suit your tastes/interests. Can buy the cheaper multi-platform games on PS3 or 360 and all the PS3 and 360 exclusives. Nintendo games are not everyone's cup of tea.
Become a PS360 owner and own both HD console systems.
PS3 games worth checking out: Killzone 2, Resistance 2, Metal Gear Solid 4, Gran Turismo 5, God of War III and Uncharted 2, etc.
why get a nitendo console if you dislike nintendo games
PS3 is the way to go, 3D if you ever get a 3D tv in the Next 3-5 years and a big collection of exclusives as well as Free online
Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong

Wii makes for a better complimentary system imo... though your specific taste in games may mean a PS3 might be better, given you seem to favor western stuff (fps, wrpg, sandbox, etc) which Wii is kinda lacking in. Personally, I'd say skip both and get a 3DS. It'll have more exclusives than PS3 & Wii combined over it's lifetime probably. |
Yes. It is too hard to decide. Wii has a lot of what I can't play but it is starting to feel like that Ps3 offers more of what I would like to play.
I have absolutely no interest on DS,PSP or 3DS.
And thanks for everyone who posted. I am a Ps3 owner in about one hour. If I wash all the dishes I'll get my present early. :D

this seems like what I would do myself.
The wii would offer you a lot of exclusive titles, but very few western ones and not a lot I can think of that would match your taste in games over the X360 and PS2. Most of the ones listed above (like Muramasa) are very Japanese styled and you don't seem to like platformers and strategy games, which would make the Wii a must own. I could see you liking Metroid Prime: Trilogy, Zelda TP/Skyward Sword, No More Heroes 2
As for PS3, again it has a very similar set of games and trying to match your taste it doesn't really offer too many games (that I can see). I could see you liking Uncharted 1/2, GT5, Killzone 2/3, GoWIII, inFamous, Resistance 1&2
If you didn't say you didn't care for Japanese style games (and most Nintendo games) I could expand these lists to way bigger, but that is about the best I can do.

Good choice
I am personally a PS3/Wii owner but I think I would prefer to still be a PS360 owner
I am just holding on to my Wii because of DCKR, TLR and Xenoblade now.
Based on what you've said on the op it's
Wii 3rd Party (which most would say is lackluster) vs PS3 1st and 3rd Party (both of which are well praised)
Wii all the way! There are a LOT of common titles between the PS3 and XBOX, and in my opinion I like them better on the XBOX because I prefer the pad and find the analogue sticks are far firmer and less slippy than the PS3 ones.
The Wii gives you all the Nintendo classics, Zelda, Mario, Donkey Kong, Metroid Mario Kart etc, plus some great exclusives like Monster Hunter, Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition (I iknow it was on PS2 but it rocks so much more with pointer aiming), House of the Dead Oerkill, Red Steel 2, Tatsunoko vs Capcom and Goldeneye.
