Forums - Sony - Killzone 3 Review: 3D Impresses – Move does not

I'm interested in buying the move but only after I know how it handles core titles as well as fully fledged motion control games; hopefully this is simply a case of the players inability to use the control as opposed to an inherent problem with the technology. Either way, its nice to hear the 3D is impressive, personally I enjoyed the way KZ2 controlled so I wont be too fussed either way.

How did he get a review copy so fast?

It is always nice to see motion haters talk about motion controls. To bad anyone paying attention to the game knows guerrilla already said the final build will have adjustable sensitivity, and bounding boxes. If it controls like The Conduit, then it will blow anything else on PS3 and 360 out of the water. IMO The Conduit is the benchmark, best fps controls ever.

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.

well, I played Socom 4 with Move at gamescom and definitely had to adjust for like 10 minutes, but after that it felt pretty good with the Move controls.. (and I expect Killzone 3 to feel similar with Move)

my only gripe was actually with the game and not with Move.. it's that (in that demo) the death animations didn't give a good feedback when someone is dead, so I often wasted half a clip on an already dead enemy, which I think is pretty annoying and should be fixed

This guy has obviously got some form of mental retardation. Playing any FPS with motion controls is far quicker when it comes to reaction time than using dual analogue. I play COD online on the Wii all the time (WAW and MWR) and own a number of other online and offline Wii FPS games, and I've never witnessesed the cursor 'flying all over the place'.

The interesting thing with KZ3 will be seeing how Mover players get on when up against regular controller guys...

Seriously?

I'm playing RE5 with the move and its works great.  The thing is that he never care to learn how to play a motion controlled FPS before on the wii (probably because how ugly wii games are) and you got to set up the pointer and camera speed to your liking first to get the best out of it.  You also got to setup your PS camera right.  if you are going to play games like this the PS Eye camera should be below your tv.

Never mind what he said, my question is, how did he get a review copy so early?

Mind you, I'm going to play this with a standard controller.

Sounds like he doesn't know how to use it.

Is the learning curve for Move or any controller that big....hmmm

No, you just point. I don't know what he's talking about, I play FPS on the Wii all the time and I have never had the cursor "flying all over the place".

I know, it's absurd. It's like all reviewers like to play IR games in a candlelit room or something >_<

In any case, I'll take "flying all over the place" over the wading-through-molasses controls in Killzone 2.

I hoping someone will bring out a rifle move mount - that would make the whole experience more realistic, and help with 'flying all over the place issue.'

something like this?
