Forums - Sony - Why are games selling so poorly on PS3?

ClaudeLv250 said:

I mean, If Call of Duty and Assassin's Creed can tear up the (PS3) charts like they are, why did Racthet fall so hard? And Uncharted?

Ratchet and Uncharted will sell a lot. No worry. Both games will sell more than million copies. It will take some time though. Uncharted is very stabil (43k, 78k, 63k) and I wouldn't be surprised if it  passes 2 million eventually.

Unchartred will explode everything in PAL

PAL PS3 : 200k this week ?

lol

Time to Work !

In NA, people buy a BR player that play games.

In PAL, people buy a console that play BR.

I used to be Sega hardcore and then I lost faith. I used to be Sony hardcore and I'm losing faith.

Sounds to me like it's time to consider being brand agnostic. Meaning, don't be ____ hardcore. Choose your consoles based on the software available for them.  Video gaming doesn't have to be a religion -- no faith is required to enjoy!

@libellule

lol

stop the sarcasm please....

Supporter of

 SONY & Nintendo

Consoles owned - SNES, N64, PS, GC, PS2, PSP, PS3

 I DO NOT support Xbox

My prediction for YEARS END:

WII - 18.3 Million

Xbox 360 - 15 Million

Playstation 3 - 8.5 Million

Around the Network

Remember Sony only sold about 7 million consoles so far. For a game to reach the 1 million mark they need to have a pretty good attach ratio.

I'm expecting 5-6 million sellers after december.

Hype n TV ads for COD4 n Ac were much more

+ Ratchet (God that game deserved SO MUCH MORE) doesn't appeal to the non "kiddy" Ps3 audience, even tho thegame isn't kiddy it's being perceived like that

as for UC - it's released in ONLY USA so far & even there it's shown great legs...lets see how it goes on for it

I'm pretty sure Uncharted was just released in Japan and bombed pretty hard. But I don't think anyone was expecting otherwise.

Which brings up another thing that's bothering me. Sony's been putting a lot of time, money, and hype into games Japan could care less about. I mean, we all know Killzone 2 doesn't have a chance in hell there. With most of the Japanese-centric games being brought by 3rd parties, the heaviest hitters still months or even years away, what does Sony have to keep Japan interested in the PS3 long enough?

Tag - "No trolling on my watch!"

My guess would have something to do with low hardware sales.

Software sales are improving.  Look at Europe, where PS3 versions are outselling 360 versions in many cases.
